Nations League Continues

It is a big week ahead for the teams playing in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals. Switzerland will be looking to upset odds when they play in the semi-finals against the host, Portugal, on the 5th June. The Swiss have never won a major trophy in their football history. The Swiss progressed to the semi-finals in eye-catching fashion as they topped their group ahead of World Cup bronze medalist Belgium.

Portgual and Switzerland are 7th and 8th in the FIFA rankings respectively. England will take on Netherlands in their semi-finals on Thursday evening. After two consecutive failures to qualify for a major tournament, the Dutch now look stacked with talent. They topped their group containing the two of the most recent world champions France and Germany. Despite not being a star-studded side, this is the most exciting England side in living memory and they will be hoping to beat Netherlands to progress to the final. Both sides are reliant on pace and direction but England’s strike-force just looks more convincing.
