Reasonable scores from Angelo Mathews and Niroshan Dickwella helped Sri Lanka score 244 for eight against South Africa in the second one-day international on Wednesday.
Mathews made an unbeaten 79 off 111 balls, while Dickwella, made 69. Andile Phehlukwayo and Lungi Ngidi gave star performances and claimed 3 wickets each.
Phehlukwayo took figures of 3/45 and the key wicket of Dickwella. Lungi Ngidi supported him well at the other end, stricking twice in the second over to remove Upul Tharanga and Kusal Mendis. Ngidi ended with figures of 3/50. The proteas now take a 2-0 lead in the five-match ODI series.
