Northern Capers Urged to Familiarize Themselves With Province’s Hidden Treasures

With the summer season in full swing, the Northern Cape Tourism Authority (NCTA) last week launched their summer campaign which is centred around increasing local attendance at our many tourism gems as well encouraging visitors to stay at these sites for more than a day and experience all the amazing adventures that the Province has to offer.

Locals were specifically urged to #knowyourNorthernCape and make our province enjoyable instead of visiting other national sites when they were in our backyard. Speaking on behalf of the entity and MEC Mac Jack, was NCTA CEO, Sharon Lewis, who appealed to the public at large that the province had a lot to offer in terms of attractions.

“The summer season is the perfect time to know your Province and know your Country by taking sho’tlefts to the Northern Cape and immersing yourself in a rich experience of culture, history, ancient architecture, art and heritage along with the newly established Go Ghaap route in the Kalahari region. For those seeking culture, lectures and adventure experiences there are other Northern Cape sho’tleft experiences awaiting which include the five regions, our six national parks and our Provincial Nature Parks.”

Potential visitors were further urged to mingle with the locals and add a bit of Northern Cape taste to their summer. Visitors were also encouraged to take full advantage of the available summer specials on offer.
