Pacquaio Gets Unanimous Decision over Broner

Manny Pacquaio didn’t look a day over 40 when he beat Adrien Broner and defended his WBA Welterweight title. The Filipino superstar looked the fittest and fastest of the two fighters, which is surprising considering the 11-year age gap. Pacquaio landed the most and the heaviest of the punches with 77 body blows and two near knockdowns.

“Everybody knows I beat him” said Broner after the fight but the judges scored the match otherwise. After the fight, Pacquaio challenged a spectating Floyd Mayweather saying “Tell Floyd to come back to the ring and then we will fight, I’m willing to fight him again”.

There’s no doubt that a rematch between the two has the potential to be bigger than the first but only time will tell if the two camps would even consider the bout, one thing is for sure, Manny Pacquaio has showed that he is still a force to be reckoned with.
