Pitso Attacked by Former Sundowns Player

Former Mamelodi Sundowns player, Toni Silva has written an open letter to his former coach Pitso Mosimane wherein he attacks him. We took time to list all the shocking claims contained in that letter.

Toni Silva claims that Pitso does not change his training plans/routines. The training is the same day in, day out. And because of his arrogance and ego, no one can advise Pitso.

Pitso Mosimane is unfair and had his own favourite players. Silva claims that Pitso can play an under-performing player repeatedly just because he likes him. He says that Pitso can choose not to play you even though you had a good game last time out.

He also claims that he was unhappy due to Pitso not playing him in the right position. Toni Silva says he is a right-winger and had explained this to Pitso but he was deployed as a striker anyway.

Pitso begged Toni Silva not to leave Mamelodi Sundowns. It got to a point where Pitso would send him text messages calling him things like the “best winger in the club, one on one,”.

Pitso buys players to come to Sundowns so that he doesn’t have to compete against them if they went to another club. Silva says this kills players’ careers. He gives an example with George Lebese who he claims was not given a chance to play.

Basically everybody is scared of Pitso at Mamelodi Sundowns. Silva claims that players must worship Pitso for them to get game time. He further says that he was getting benched for speaking the truth and standing up to the coach.
