Robert Sobukwe Lecture – Sol Plaatje University


Professor Reverend Tshepo Lephakga delivering the Robert Sobukwe lecture to a packed auditorium at Sol Plaatje University. The Pan African Congress founder died 40 years ago under banishment in Kimberley on 27 February 1978 and was buried in his hometown of Graaf-Reinet on 11 March 1978. His wife Zodwa Veronica Sobukwe that he lived with under house arrest at Naledi Street (Galeshewe) in Kimberley turned 90 years old last year.
