Sibusiso Mahlangu sought by police

Hartswater Police have requested the public’s assistance in the tracing of a 29-year-old man implicated in a rape that occurred in August 2012. The Hartswater Magistrate’s court has since issued a warrant of arrest for the apprehension of Sibusiso Mahlangu who has consequently failed to appear before the court following his arrest in 2012.

Spokesperson Captain Olebogeng Tawana says, Mahlangu is suspected to be in the vicinity of Shoshanguve and is most likely a taxi driver. Tawana further urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist in the tracing of the suspected rapist.

“Any person with the information that could assist us to apprehend Sibusiso Mahlangu, is requested to contact the investigating officer Detective Sergeant Dibolelo Sehako on 053 456 5202 / 072 205 0623. Or contact SAPS Crime Stop 08600 10111. All shared information will be treated with strictest confidentiality,” Tawana concluded.
